Gluten-free sourdough bread, that's also whole food, plant-based? And it can be SOS-free (no added sodium, oil and sugar)? Not only that, it has a soft, moist crumb that holds together, a deliciously robust sourdough flavor, and a smell that warms the whole house every time it bakes or toasts. It may sound too good to be true, but it is!
Gluten-free baking is already a challenge, but making a yummy, healthy bread that my husband and I could feel good after eating seemed impossible. I tried so many recipes that failed, or turned dry/crumbly after one day at best. But I refused to be defeated, and continued to experiment.
To my surprise, it finally came together - the bread I could use for sandwiches, toast, & more! And what was the key? Sourdough! Not only does the sourdough* enhance the overall flavor and texture of this bread, it also makes it easier on the digestion. And it's surprisingly easy.
So let's get baking!
